Coach Brandon “Bdub” Williams

Brandon Williams was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where his love for sports began early. A standout student-athlete at Westchester High School, Brandon excelled as a two-sport athlete in both baseball and basketball. His high school career reached a peak moment when he helped lead his team to a CIF City Section Championship at the iconic Dodger Stadium.

Following high school, Brandon attended West Los Angeles College, where he earned his Associate of Arts degree while continuing his baseball career. His dedication and talent earned him an opportunity to transfer to Prairie View A&M University on both Academic and Athletic Scholarships, where he completed his collegiate career and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

After college, Brandon’s hard work paid off when he was blessed with an invitation to Spring Training with the New York Mets. Unfortunately, a broken wrist ended that opportunity, but his love for the game kept him moving forward. Brandon went on to play professional baseball at the independent level for six years, finishing his playing career in 2018.

That same year, Brandon transitioned into coaching, founding the Go Get It Baseball Club. What began as a program quickly became his passion and calling, teaching and developing young athletes of all skill levels. His coaching journey advanced when he received his first opportunity at the high school level at Rancho Cucamonga High under respected coach RJ Farrell. When Coach Farrell later moved on to Orange Lutheran, he stayed true to his word and brought Brandon with him. Coaching under the leadership of Eric Borba at Orange Lutheran proved to be a transformative experience, sharpening Brandon’s coaching skills while also strengthening his faith.

Today, Brandon continues to inspire and develop players as a hitting instructor at ZT Premier Athletes Academy and a coach within the ZT Prospects organization. His coaching philosophy is rooted in passion, mentorship, and motivation, preparing athletes not only to succeed on the field but also to grow as young men off it.

Brandon’s long-term vision is to step into collegiate baseball and ultimately reach the highest level of the game as a Major League hitting coach. His journey is driven by perseverance, faith, and an unwavering belief in hard work. One of his favorite quotes, by Frank Sinatra, perfectly embodies his mindset:

“The greatest revenge is massive success.”
